CONCRETE EFFECTIVE STRESS METER

This meter is used to directly measure internal stress on concrete. The detecting body is filled with the concrete to be measured and by making it function as part of the transducer, the apparent modulus of elasticity is made to coincide constantly with that of the concrete. By this method, this epochal stress meter makes it possible to obtain highly reliable stress measurements.

In selecting models, a model with dimensions two times or more than the average grain size of the coarse aggregate of the concrete to be measured is the standard. For example, when the average grain size is 25mm , dimensions of the meter are length 50 cm and by 5 by 5cm namely model GK-ǠN-505, is suitable.
Accuracy is ±4% when the modulus of elasticity of the concrete to be measured is 10 KN/mm2 or higher.
When the modulus of elasticity is unknown, accuracy is within ±10%.
If temperature characteristic test data is required, requests for such can be made when placing orders.

Polarity: (+) indicates compression, (-) indicates tension
The values of non-linearity and hysteresis are those of the transducer body.
In regard to the temperature measuring function, out of the 6 cores of S4-5T and D4-5T, 2 cores are thermocouple wires.
